I am personally writing to you, hoping that you will give special consideration to supporting a project I am currently working on. Your support and contribution would be most gratefully received, please pass on the message below to colleagues, friends and family so that we can harness the power of modern technology to realise our goal.
What we are doing? |
Over the past number of months we have been compiling a book of personal stories on the impact of outstanding/inspirational teachers on the life of young people. The book will consist of 100-120 personal stories from a wide cross-section of Irish society.
Why are we doing it?
At the current time, we believe it is essential for us all to focus on the positive. Positive, optimistic and empowered teachers lead to a stronger school experience for our young people and this has a positive effect on the our society at large. Our goal is to produce a book that will boost teacher morale and be a catalyst to even greater achievement within the education sector.
Where we are? |
We have received many really personal, impactful and powerful contributions from the well-known and the not-so-well-know. Right now, we are about 60% complete. We are seeking your assistance to get it across the line.
How you can help? |
Send us your account of how a teacher had a profound and positive impact in your life.
What's in it for you? |
It is an opportunity for you to reflect on what you have achieved through the support of exceptional teachers and to acknowledge this in a public way. You will have your story published in a real book which will be read by people right across the country.
Not biting? Why should you take the time to do this? |
It is proven that people learn better through the power of story – this is an opportunity for you to tell your story and have a positive impact on someone else.
Still not biting? |
Well you can join the ranks of such esteemed people as: Kian Egan (Westlife), Terry Prone and May Harney who have all made significant contributions.
What do I have to do? |
Put together a 300-1500 words on how an inspirational teacher impacted your life in a positive way and email it to Philip@thesupergeneration.com by June 30th.
How else can I support the project? |
Forward this e-mail request to your colleagues, friends and family. Speak to anyone you know who has been positively impacted by an exceptional teacher and invite them to submit their story. Doing so will greatly assist the success of the book.
The book will be a source of inspiration to the educators of our young people and a very positive addition to the library of teachers and non-teachers alike.
